The dotted area shows the part of this equation matrix, including documentation, which can be banked. Columns to the right of the matrix (to the right of the yellow column heads) will be included as long as something is put in the column head to the right of the yellow cells. This is especially important because you can add equation matrix documentation and bank it along with the equation. When this equation parameter matrix is withdrawn from the equation bank into any sheet, the documentation is carried along with it.
