For a model solution, the solver needs to be given information about what cells to target and what cells to change to reach the target. VORSIM is set up so that change variables drive an equal number of target variables to zero (the target cells contain equations related to the model which generate a value of zero at equilibrium). In DEMOmod the variables MCMqsBL, MCMqsNUT, and MCMqsW are excess supply (production minus sales) that should equal zero when the three markets are in equilibrium. The change variables MCMpwBL, MCMpwNUT, and MCMpwW are market prices, which clear the three markets. Here the change cells ($D$6:$D$8) are being entered by clicking on the white cells shown outlined.
